So apparently the PS3 does not support subtitles in the MP4 container which kinda sucks...

although I could be wrong? anyone get subtitles to work inside an MP4 container on the PS3? the only other option is of course to reencode and burn the subtitles into the video...

Iapos;ve got a shit-ton of MKV files sitting on my HD that I would like to watch on my PS3 without reencoding. Ah well, it can wait since I donapos;t even have an HDTV yet. H264 might be a tad wasted on me right now...

Ironically the PS3 has DivX subtitle support. Boo for that
